Oldpunk Lui rules!

Picture 1: Jam Today live at the Dschungel (20.12.2003) - distant view from the bar

Another one of 100% fun bands from Hamburg - Jam Today more than ever attracts oldpunks and young kids. Normal set consists of one set of Jam covers and a 2nd set of other oldpunk covers. If you want to listen how it sounds - listen to the raw captures: Jam Today covering Uncontrolable Urge (Devo) and Boredom (Buzzcocks). This was a nice pre-christmas show in one of the local watering holes for oldpunks.

Again this was a show where the elderly did meet - so we follow up with over 40ties:

The Dschungel not only hosted this nice little show but also "THE" oldpunk party in 2003 - Oldpunk#1, Vinyl buyer #1 and regular at Shows #1 Frosch did throw his birthday party there - with Demolition Girl & The Strawberry Boys coming all the way to play a nice set and handing Frosch the greatest of all gifts: A song! (and you can still buy the record "They call him Frog" as a super picture EP from Holy War Records via BeriBeri Records!).

The party was crowned by Dirk (Holy War Records) late that night promised to Hedwig and Frosch "When you record the song i'll put out the record" (and it was late!). A few months later and some hick-ups overcome the big, fat Vinyl was there - with a great cover by Fritte!

Picture 9: Average age - 39,5! Picture 10: Thomas Koch (ex-AdSW Fanzine) Picture 11: The call him frog, he jumps around and pogo's all the time - they call him frog! (Thanks Hedwig!)

Kids - rest assured that you can still party hard when you are 40 and over! You just need more sleep, less alcohol and zero drugs. And of cause it helps to have a well paid and steady job (thus the taxi driver brings you home!).
