Where have all the punk kids gone?

Picture 1: All the famous punks,at Pohl's appartment 1994

Pictured here you have: Hardy (Säurekeller, HH-Milch, Javelin Rosebud, ... , Stalker, ... , Element of Crime), Matzy (Rubbermaids, Square the Circle), Witte (Screamer, Punkenstein, Napalm. Noise Anoys, Witte Expirence, The Punkles), Pohl (Spiel 77, Channel Rats, Savage Roses, Gagu, Gras), Rudi K. (Blausiegel, Knallschoten, Meine Schuppen), Thorsten (Spiel 77, Meine Schuppen, C2I, Magnetic AD, Sheep on a tree, Square the circle), Hobbel (Spiel 77, Magnetic AD) - just to list a few bands that were around and around. If Thomas Koch takes the task - we will feature a full Hamburg Punkrock Bandtree here someday and you will note that with a minimum of people a maximum of bands were generated over time. And - did they all grow up?

"One of a kind-band. Their psychedelic punk is well remembered. This band had 4 convincing characters who made the difference. Here you see them at some bar in St.Pauli. Their most famous moment came when they opened for Lydia Lunch at the "Markthalle"." (Minus)

Picture 8: Bronx Boys (Scholle, Frank, Lui) Markthalle, Hamburg 1994

"Fantastic band who became a joke of their own after playing too many shows in too many years." (Minus)

Bronx Boys where a fun-vehicle of some oldpunks (Lui (ex-Napalm etc.), Zabel (ex-Razors etc.), Scholle (ex-Platzangst etc.)) for the "Hamburger Schmuddelkinder" series that turned out to be a rather big successs - so they started recording and touring for real with their HipHopMetalPunk mix (stolen from Body Count) and played some packed shows in Germany.

"This band will never get boring since they`re dealing with Retro. Great live band , don`t miss `em , they`re still around." (Minus)

Kai Reeder went all the way from Napalm to drumming for G.B.H. and back to Hamburg. He still plays in great bands, too many to name. And, he has good stories from touring the world, i can assure you!

Picture 12: Phil + Hannis (Rio Beni) inside an old World War 2-bunker.

Lots and lots of band are having their practice space in these old WW2 bunkers today, so do they. You can be loud as fuck, even when the next flat is literaly meters away. German concrete, 5 meters thick.

Zabel Frank,Lui,Willi,Matte (Shred),Ekke, ??? - all being held at gun point by the police. What happend? It should have be a cool shooting for the Bronx Boys - slum real in the backyards of the Karoviertel - and with toy weapons. Only: Neighbours called the police 'coz they took the Bronx Boys for real!
